The Project Manager coordinates preconstruction and construction activities and serves as the primary point of contact between WH Bass, clients, engineers, city officials, and architects. Responsibilities include partnering with the estimating department during bidding and project handoff; reviewing subcontract bids, negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers; setting up project accounting; establishing and maintaining client relationships with a focus on exceptional service; developing and maintaining a project schedule and ensuring timely completion; issuing purchase orders and managing the project budget; preparing start packages and reviewing with the superintendent; conducting preconstruction and periodic job meetings; coordinating with the superintendent on procedures and safety; processing paperwork for internal and external use; ensuring alignment of company and client objectives; preparing draw requests and invoicing with appropriate backups; traveling as needed; and ensuring a strong project close, including turnover documentation, lien waivers, and final payments.
