Destinus is seeking a State Estimation Software Engineer to design, implement, and test algorithms that fuse sensor data from IMUs, GPS, cameras, and other sources to provide accurate position, velocity, and orientation estimates for UAV navigation. You will work with hardware teams to ensure these algorithms perform reliably in operational conditions. Responsibilities include algorithm design, implementing fusion methods, and validating estimation performance across datasets and edge cases. You will work with sensor fusion across modalities, large-scale flight datasets, and modern testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Requirements include an MS or PhD in Robotics, Control Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 5+ years of experience in state estimation; strong C++ programming skills; experience deploying algorithms on embedded or real-time systems; and a track record of validating complex software. Nice to have: UAV/robotic experience; knowledge of visual-inertial systems; background in optimization or probabilistic robotics. We offer direct exposure to cutting-edge robotics and machine learning projects, hands-on experience with real-world robotics, and a flexible working arrangement (hybrid). Destinus is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity; we do not discriminate based on age, race, religion, color, country of origin, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status.
