Accenture Federal Services is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that validate the functionality, performance, and security of our software applications. This is primarily a remote role with occasional travel to client locations in the DMV area. The successful candidate will shift manual testing to efficient, scalable automated test suites integrated into our deployment pipeline, collaborating with developers, product managers, and fellow QA team members to ensure bugs are caught early and high-quality software is delivered to users.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Design and write maintainable automated test scripts for web applications and backend APIs.
Build and scale robust automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Cucumber.
Analyze requirements and user stories to create detailed end-to-end test plans.
Execute regression, functional, and smoke tests prior to major production releases.
Identify, log, and track software defects, detailing reproduction steps and severity.
Isolate and troubleshoot test failures to determine if issues stem from application bugs or test script instability.
Collaborate in Agile development ceremonies.
About 4 years of QA experience, with automation experience; proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL.
Experience testing back-end, front-end, and APIs.
Hands-on experience with automation tools and testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber; pytest, Jest, JUnit, TestNG).
