Whisker is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to support New Product Development by ensuring product requirements meet end-user expectations, identifying potential risks with mitigations, and verifying and validating products before launch. The successful candidate will provide technical guidance to Product Development Teams and other stakeholders, develop and implement quality plans, and manage quality-related project schedules. You will lead risk management activities (design, process, and use/misuse FMEA; Hazard Analysis; Fault Tree Analysis), create and execute verification and validation plans (DVP&R; traceability matrices), and support supplier selection and approval of PPAP documentation. You will gather post-market feedback to inform the development process and review Stage Gate deliverables for quality and completeness. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements include a BA/BS in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience and 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in Design Assurance or New Product Development with consumer electromechanical products. You should have experience with risk management documentation and root-cause analysis tools (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagrams), as well as the creation and execution of testing plans (DVP&R, Trace Matrix). Familiarity with Measurement Systems Analysis or Test Method Validation is desired.
