Eventual is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Dataloading team in a hybrid role based in San Francisco, California, United States. You will design and build the video-native dataloader that turns multimodal video corpora into tensors available on the GPU at line rate, implementing rank-aware sampling, NVMe caching, video and sensor co-loading, and random-access into clips. You will optimize the full data path from object store through NVMe, page cache, host RAM, and device RAM, eliminating unnecessary copies and stalls. You will work with the latest hardware (H100, B200, GB200, NVL72) and collaborate with partner labs and large public AI companies to meet bandwidth requirements such as Vera Rubin. This is a systems engineering role focused on performance; you will learn NVL72, CUDA, and SLURM as needed. You will work cross-team with Storage Infrastructure on the index/format boundary and with Visual Understanding on model-output ingestion.
