Eventual is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to own the product surface that researchers interact with. Our platform indexes petabytes of video, sensors, and embeddings behind a multimodal database; researchers experience it through a UI for exploring datasets, writing natural-language queries, reviewing results, and shipping curated datasets to training runs. You will design and build the product UI for exploring, querying, and curating multimodal datasets— including video playback, clip-level annotation, and visualizations over corpus composition— and develop APIs that power the UI and integrate with customers’ training stacks and notebooks. You will create analytics to help researchers understand their corpus, collaborate with the Visual Understanding, Dataloading, and Storage teams, and ensure the surface remains a thin, fast layer over a deep platform. You will work directly with researchers at design-partner labs, gather requirements, and ship features in days. You will write high-quality, maintainable code, address tech debt strategically, and ship features with velocity. Qualifications include fullstack experience across modern frontend, backend, APIs and cloud (AWS S3), experience taking a product from zero to production, and the ability to collaborate with researchers. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, United States, with four days per week in the SF Mission District office.
