GDIT is seeking a Test Engineer to support the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Management Information System (NYS MMIS) eMedNY Systems Integration Team. The position requires 2+ years of testing experience in distributed environments, with emphasis on mainframe and open systems, COBOL and CICS, and testing of web-based applications and APIs. Responsibilities include attending requirements and design meetings, estimating testing effort, designing and executing integration test plans and regression scenarios, documenting test results, and collaborating with Test Automation Engineers and other stakeholders. The role supports the SDLC testing standards, stays current with industry trends, and may assist in production and other ad hoc testing activities as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; 2+ years of testing experience in distributed environments; experience with mainframe and open systems; strong SQL skills (SPUFI, QMF, Redash, MongoDB Compass) and mainframe tools (TSO/ISPF). Preferred: MMIS-related claims processing, HIPAA X12 5010 and NCPDP D.0, COBOL, CICS, RTC, RQM, Java/Angular, ETL testing (DataStage), Web services/API testing (Postman), DB2 (Z/OS and LUW), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and application security testing. This role is based in Albany, New York with a hybrid work arrangement. The likely salary range is $73,965 - $94,300, with final compensation determined by experience, location, and contractual requirements.
