Versa Networks is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines that process large data volumes. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to ensure scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data infrastructure. Responsibilities include architecting and deploying batch and streaming pipelines using Airflow, containerizing data-processing jobs with Docker, orchestrating with Kubernetes, and managing releases with Helm. You will build high-throughput transformations with Dask or Apache Spark, support hybrid on-prem and cloud environments, and optimize training jobs for performance and cost. You will implement observability (logging, metrics, alerting) to maintain pipeline health and SLAs, troubleshoot production data issues, define data contracts and schemas, and enforce CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation. You will design data models for AI/ML training, load data into cloud storage and data lakes, and ensure accessibility. The role requires 3–5 years of experience with these technologies, as well as Go or Rust for data services, and Google Cloud experience (Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, GKE) or equivalent in other clouds.
