Identify emerging AI research and techniques worth pursuing and set the technical roadmap for Fivetran AI

Prototype new ideas quickly and ship production-grade features across backend and frontend systems

Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborating departments, resolving architectural tradeoffs

Build and maintain backend and frontend components for the Fivetran AI product, from Agents Schema pipelines to the Context Catalog UI

Take ownership of production reliability, on-call rotation and incident response

Mentor senior engineers and influence technical decisions across departments

Contribute to hiring and interview processes

10+ years of programming experience in Python and/or Java; comfortable across backend and frontend
Able to read AI/ML research and turn findings into prototypes and production systems with strong product/market awareness
Independent and able to define direction and execute with minimal oversight
Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks or similar)
Willingness to work across the full stack including SRE and QA
Strong coding skills and ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases
Experience using coding agents or similar AI tooling to speed up development
