About the role

Design, develop, and deploy backend Java/Kotlin services to process high-volume telemetry and alerting workloads
Collaborate with product managers and engineers across data streaming, infrastructure, design, UIs, and customer-facing APIs

Design, develop, and deploy backend Java/Kotlin services to process high-volume telemetry and alerting workloads
Collaborate with product managers and engineers across data streaming, infrastructure, design, UIs, and customer-facing APIs

Implement new Alerting features, reduce tech debt, and evolve architecture with clear tradeoffs

Deploy code to customers multiple times per day

Ensure reliability and security; participate in peer code reviews and internal documentation

Work in an agile environment with rapid feedback

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code

Bonus:

5+ years of backend software engineering in SaaS/product environments
Strong proficiency in Java (Kotlin), OOP, RESTful APIs, and multi-threaded programming
Experience building multi-threaded Java services in production
Relational databases: SQL, optimization, pagination, partitioning, and scaling
Distributed systems; writing scalable code and queries; delivering APIs to internal/external customers
Empathy for end users and understanding how data logistics/persistence at scale affects experience
Agile experience; strong interpersonal skills for collaboration
AI/LLM development: prompts, LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented workflows, or MCP servers for telemetry to AI agents
Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, AMQP, or gRPC
Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Frontend awareness (React, TypeScript, GraphQL, CSS)
