Supplier Quality Engineer II – Process Validations & Test Methods. This on-site role in Irvine, California focuses on leading supplier qualification activities for critical component features, including gage studies, process capability studies, and supplier process validations guided by FMEAs. Responsibilities include developing and validating test methods (such as inspection routines on optical measurement equipment) and designing inspection fixtures using SolidWorks; creating test method procedures and providing training; supporting component specification development, identification of critical features, and development of inspection methods and plans; validating test methods, process validations, and component capability assessments; supporting risk management activities including the development and implementation of FMEAs, process control plans, and quality agreements with suppliers; applying statistical techniques and Six Sigma tools to analyze processes and drive continuous improvement; conducting on-site supplier audits; managing supplier-related non-conformances and CAPAs from initiation to closure; collecting and analyzing quality metrics relating to supplier quality; communicating supplier quality risks to upper management during reviews and project meetings and identifying solutions to mitigate risks; supporting process and system improvement projects as assigned.
