Avaloq is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Oracle PL/SQL skills to join the Cash Operations & Payments team within Application Management Services (AMS). This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing SaaS applications for our financial institution clients. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Team Lead, Business Analysts, and fellow Software Engineers; create solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed by technical leads and architects; participate in client workshops and support requirements analysis; design, develop, and maintain robust solutions within the team’s scope; improve and optimize existing functionalities; develop and maintain automated tests to ensure quality; take ownership of your area of expertise; work with an agile mindset using Jira and related tools. Qualifications: At least 3 years of software development experience; strong knowledge of database technologies, especially SQL and Oracle PL/SQL; eager to learn business needs and deliver clean designs and high-quality code; strong analytical, structured, and autonomous working style; nice-to-have: experience in the financial industry or cash operations/payments; university degree in Computer Science or related field; knowledge of payments standards such as SIC, euroSIC, SEPA, and SWIFT MT/MX (ISO 20022).
