Apple is hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to the Shortcuts app and related infrastructure on iOS and macOS. In this role, you will develop features for the Shortcuts app, tackle challenging technical problems, and build scalable, high-quality solutions that power automation across Apple devices. You will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to deliver elegant user experiences and to advance the integration of operating system frameworks, AI capabilities, and hardware features. You will maintain code quality, participate in architecture discussions, and contribute to the design of new features as well as enhancements to existing code. Qualifications: - B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience building software in Objective-C or Swift. - Experience creating complex and performant user interfaces with UIKit, AppKit, or SwiftUI. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred: - Familiarity with Xcode, LLDB, Instruments, and Claude Code. - Attention to detail and focus on quality. This on-site role is based in Cupertino, California, United States.
