Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. The role collaborates with Product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration and UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs. You will optimize existing functionality to enable faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. You will ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.

Ideal candidates possess systems thinking, the ability to move quickly while delivering reliable options, and a focus on collaborative work with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK, but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform); prior experience with GCP is a plus.
