This on-site role will own large-scale backend projects within the Global KYC and Onboarding domain, building scalable Java 8+ microservices and robust APIs to support compliant verification journeys. You will refactor and build new verification microservices, integrate with risk and mitigation systems to ensure regulatory compliance, and automate where it improves decisioning and operational efficiency, with safe fallbacks and clear observability. You will collaborate with backend and frontend engineers, mobile developers, designers, data analysts, and product managers to deliver fast, intuitive experiences for individuals and small businesses worldwide. Responsibilities include owning the technical roadmap, addressing technical debt, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security, mentoring engineers, and contributing to cross-team initiatives. Requirements: 4+ years of Java 8+ experience, Spring framework, asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and a track record of building highly scalable microservices; strong product mindset and a passion for customer experience and regulatory compliance; excellent communication skills; experience with relational and non-relational databases and data lifecycle management for sensitive information; ability to lead technical delivery of large-scale projects.
