Vinted is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Traffic Routing team in Kaunas, Lithuania. In this role, you will help build and operate the systems that route requests into and across Vinted, including the Istio gateway and the software that generates gateway configuration, the data center network, internal DNS, and domain management. The Traffic Routing team is part of the Foundations domain within the Platform unit. We are a team of eight and own the path traffic takes from the public internet to the services running in our data centers. You will work closely with the Foundations teams and the product engineering teams that depend on us. Responsibilities include building and improving software that generates and ships Istio gateway configuration to route traffic safely and predictably; automating and owning operations for internal DNS, domains, and the Postfix mail clusters; designing and running tooling for gradual configuration changes with fast rollbacks; collaborating with the SONiC network OS and the physical network to keep the data-center fabric reliable and observable; tracking SLOs for the routing layer and improving monitoring, alerting, and incident response; partnering with product engineering teams to make it easy and safe for them to expose their services; taking part in a paid on-call rotation; building eventually consistent systems to synchronize data across cross-Atlantic markets without sacrificing performance; shifting live traffic between regions and data centers with no downtime and making rollbacks boring and instant; squeezing late
