Beacon AI is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and develop user-facing features for our aviation safety platform. You will design and implement React-based web interfaces that visualize real-time and historical aviation data, collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, and contribute to reusable frontend components and frontend best practices. Responsibilities include building responsive interfaces, integrating data from live streams and archived datasets, and ensuring frontend systems are reliable through testing and documentation. Requirements: 5+ years of experience building user-facing web applications; strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, state management, HTML and CSS; familiarity with asynchronous frontend patterns and working with APIs or data streams; excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn from feedback. Bonus points for experience with mapping or geospatial tools (e.g., Mapbox or Cesium), exposure to live data or video streaming, and a passion for aviation. This is a hybrid role based in San Carlos, California, with 3+ days per week onsite and the option to work remotely on remaining days. Perks include health coverage for employees and dependents, PTO and holidays, and a 401(k) plan. Due to U.S. export control regulations, we can only hire U.S. Persons and cannot sponsor visas. Beacon AI is an equal opportunity employer.
