Senior Data Business Analyst – Asset Management

Join HSBC’s Asset Management Data Analytics Office (DAO) Change team as a Senior Data Business Analyst to help deliver high-impact changes across enterprise data services and platforms, including Investment Data Service, Security Master, Funds Data, Entity Master, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will partner closely with Business Analysts, Test Analysts, and Delivery Managers, as well as third-party vendors and IT service providers, to improve data quality, controls, and outcomes for Asset Management. As we transition toward a data product–aligned operating model, this is an opportunity to shape requirements, solve data problems, and deliver change at pace.

In this role you will: - Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements across multiple data services (epics/user stories, acceptance criteria, process and data flows). - Use Structured Query Language (SQL) to interrogate, validate, and reconcile datasets; support root-cause analysis and resolution of data issues. - Support delivery execution including backlog refinement, dependency management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning/execution and stakeholder sign-off. - Define and maintain core data artefacts such as business rules, data definitions, lineage notes, and source-to-target mappings. - Work with engineers/platform teams to deliver and assure datasets and controls on GCP (e.g., monitoring, access management, data quality). - Coordinate with vendors and IT service providers to agree deliverables, manage issues/risks and drive a
