HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary project teams across the full project lifecycle, from development and initiation through close-out. You will be responsible for any project assignment, regardless of size, scope, or staff, and you will oversee multiple projects concurrently. The role requires establishing strong client relationships and participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings. You will conduct work sessions for deliverable development with stakeholders, coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. You will track financial performance and coordinate with team members to keep work within budget and schedule. You will work with accounting, operations, and business leadership for periodic project reviews, implement QA/QC procedures, and supervise large project staffs while mentoring less-experienced project managers. Additional duties may be assigned. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, PMP certification, and DBIA certification, with a preference for candidates residing in the Mid-Atlantic area (MD, VA, DC). Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 15 years related experience, at least 7 years of project management experience, a professional engineering license valid for the position’s location, and proficiency with MS Office and MS Project (experience with Access is a plus).
