Lead Automation Engineer position based in Moscow, Idaho, United States (on-site). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a detailed understanding of electric power system automation and industrial control systems, including related protocols, serial and network communications, security, and logic programming. Provide technical leadership in customer support, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and control systems. Lead the development and analysis of product specifications and functional and validation tests. Write and maintain product documentation including application guides, data sheets, and instruction manuals. Develop technical and market analyses to evaluate proposed products or enhancements. Evaluate competing automation products. Serve as technical lead on assigned projects. Mentor engineers and associate engineers. Understand, create, and simplify. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: This role may require US citizenship and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems with a broad range of serial and network devices and interfaces. Working knowledge of automation and integration applications, practices, and philosophies in electrical utilities, industrial plants, or engineering firms. Knowledge of the OSI model and strong understanding of layer 2, 3, and 4 network
