Land Development Project Manager

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to oversee the development of raw land for home and amenities construction in new communities. The successful candidate will manage vendors and contractors to deliver finished lots ready for home construction, and will review civil improvement plans, geotechnical evaluations, landscape plans, and project specifications.

Key responsibilities include: - Overseeing all aspects of the development and scheduling process for infrastructure installation, including lot preparation, model homes, landscaping, parks and amenities construction - Meeting with jurisdictional officials during installation and inspection of civil construction, infrastructure, landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, signage, and parks - Maintaining accurate project schedules and critical path timelines, identifying delays, and reporting them promptly - Tracking milestones and communicating with internal departments and external stakeholders (city officials, engineers, utility consultants, utility companies, contractors, etc.) - Assisting Project Managers and civil engineers with plan clarifications and revisions; coordinating with subcontractors’ offices and field personnel - Participating in bid management: developing scopes of work, pay scales, assembling bid packages, and reviewing/awarding bids - Calculating quantities from construction plans for budgeting and bidding - Reviewing land development contracts with subcontractors and maint
