Shades of Light is seeking a Junior Accountant based in Midlothian, Virginia to oversee daily cash deposits, bank transactions, outgoing payments, and all retail store accounts receivable. Responsibilities include posting daily bank transactions; recording and reconciling daily credit card, check, and cash transactions from catalog and retail sales; processing daily check deposits; validating, coding, and posting outgoing credit card transactions; processing outgoing payments (checks and AMEX OneAP); handling third-party decorator commissions; partnering with the Customer Support Team to resolve customer chargeback issues; overseeing CertCapture certificate validations; sending AR statements for stores and managing collections; managing vendor setup and maintenance; and performing other duties as assigned by management. Salary range: $22.50/hr - $27.50/hr. Qualifications include two to four years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience; a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred; Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP/SAP Business One experience preferred; attention to detail; strong written and oral communication; time management; and organizational skills.
