Overview: Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting functions of our fast-paced resort operation. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong accounting practices, internal controls, and operational support. Based in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania, this position will oversee daily accounting operations, manage payroll for more than 1,000 associates, develop the accounting team, and provide meaningful financial insight to resort leadership.

What you’ll do: - Financial Reporting and Close: Produce accurate monthly and annual financial statements; oversee the general ledger and closing processes; reconcile balance-sheet accounts; provide meaningful variance analysis. - Accounting Operations: Direct accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, night audit, payroll, and management reporting. - Controls and Compliance: Ensure GAAP compliance, regulatory requirements, and maintain internal controls; review journal entries and support audits. - Payroll Oversight: Oversee payroll processing for 1,000+ associates with accuracy and timely payment. - Team Leadership: Manage, train, mentor, and develop Finance and Accounting staff; foster a collaborative, hands-on environment. - Business Partnership: Collaborate with department leaders, resort management, the Director of Finance, and corporate leadership to support operations and goals. - Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve procedures and implement scalable processes a
