Panelto Foods, a privately owned Irish company based in Longford, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the on-site engineering function at the Longford plant. The Manager will report to the Senior Operations & Engineering Manager and oversee a team of engineers and external service contractors, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Key responsibilities include ownership of engineering activities within the area, managing the preventative maintenance program, budgeting, maintaining CMMS records, leading and developing engineering staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with Operations, Quality, and other departments. The candidate will have a trade-qualified background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation engineering, with experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing, CMMS, and fault-finding on automated systems, as well as knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs, ammonia refrigeration systems, and stainless-steel fabrication.
