Data Scientist will support the Army's ammunition planning and resupply mission through development, sustainment, and refinement of data-driven analytics and machine-learning models. The role will work within a team to maintain ML-driven demand forecasts, support dashboard metrics in Army Vantage, and contribute to workflow automation that improves ammunition distribution efficiency and unit readiness. The position is based in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. LMI is a government-focused digital solutions provider delivering mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed. Responsibilities include developing and validating forecasting and analytics models, maintaining Vantage-based analytics and dashboards, integrating data into Vantage pipelines, performing descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics, and preparing visualizations and leadership briefings. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in data science or related field, 2–5 years of experience, proficiency with Python and SQL, experience building regression/time-series/classification models, working with large structured datasets, and strong communication skills. Active or attainable SECRET clearance is required; US citizenship is required.
