Construction Project Manager is an on-site role with the City of Oklahoma City, located in the Infrastructure Group of the Public Works Department. The position is responsible for administering and supervising major components of civil engineering projects, including water, storm sewer, paving, building, and sanitary sewer construction. Essential duties include reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with consultants, preparing various documents and reports, determining and monitoring funding allocations, and communicating project information to facilitate construction. Construction Project Managers may supervise technical personnel under the supervision of a Civil Engineer or other supervisor. Required qualifications include knowledge of engineering standards, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include project management experience on large, complex infrastructure projects and experience with project management software. Working conditions are primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional travel and exposure to construction sites, dust, and noise. The position is designated as safety-sensitive under applicable city policy.
