Assistant Project Manager – Process Piping is a position at Hooper, a long-established electric power and mechanical contractor based in Wisconsin with offices in Colorado, Florida, and Ohio. This on-site role supports planning, coordinating, and executing process piping projects to meet cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives. Responsibilities include assisting with project estimates, procuring materials, issuing subcontracts, attending pre-bid and progress meetings, coordinating manpower and equipment, and supporting safety and project performance. You will help establish project objectives, costs, timelines, budgets, policies, and safety standards; monitor adherence through site visits, progress reports, evaluations, safety meetings, and close collaboration with field supervision. The role also involves monitoring the maintenance and safeguarding of equipment, tools, and supplies; administering contracts (change orders, payments, rental equipment, timesheet coding, billing, expenses) in partnership with administrative staff, project managers, and Fleet Operations; assisting in project closeout to ensure client satisfaction; saving and archiving plans, specifications, and communications; and expediting CADD/BIM work. Requirements include a minimum of two years of technical education in engineering, construction management, or completion of an applicable apprenticeship; strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; related construction industry experience or internships preferred; and working knowledge o
