Pedestal Health is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Technology team. You will design and implement data pipelines and software solutions to improve operational efficiency and scalability. You will translate business needs into technical solutions, write clean code primarily in Python with strong SQL skills, and support cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS preferred). You will develop and modify databases to support internal applications and collaborate with operations and product teams to deploy, test, and maintain solutions. You will troubleshoot production issues and stay up to date with relevant tools and best practices. Requirements include 3+ years of software development experience in data engineering, proficiency in SQL and Python, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools. Nice-to-have: experience with ML pipelines or generative AI frameworks, knowledge of distributed computing (Spark, Dask), healthcare or life sciences background, and a Bachelor's in CS/engineering or equivalent experience.
