What you'll own: - Define and own service-level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets for the Azure (and potentially multi-cloud) estate, guiding the balance between delivering changes and protecting reliability. - Eliminate toil and build self-healing automation; stand up an agent-based support layer that reduces recurring toil and feeds improvements into the reliability roadmap. - Standardize observability across data centers, tracking metrics, alerts, and traces to reduce alert-to-incident ratio. - Lead incident response, perform blameless postmortems, and convert learnings into durable fixes or automation. - Harden CI/CD and progressive delivery (canaries, safe rollouts, automated rollback) to improve change velocity without sacrificing reliability. - Model capacity and performance, ensuring the platform scales across regions while staying within performance envelopes. - Apply AI-native reliability practices with agents and bounded automation across detection, diagnosis, and remediation. - Create and maintain runbooks that link to automation candidates; ensure on-call staff can operate with clarity and confidence. - Own capacity and cost
