Alarm.com is expanding its Home Automation Experience (HAX) team and building a new engineering presence in Krakow. EBS Sp. z o.o., the Polish subsidiary of Alarm.com, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend development and end-to-end automation features for the HAX automation platform. You will partner with Product Management and Quality Engineering, mentor engineers, and shape technical direction through design reviews and architectural decisions. The role focuses on backend engineering and data infrastructure for automation features such as rules and schedules, across web, mobile, and backend services. Lead and develop software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies; participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements to deployment; evaluate new technologies to solve complex goals; write clean, maintainable code; exercise good judgment on speed versus robustness; work in a fast, collaborative environment with cross-team coordination; contribute to product development with input from engineering. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience; 6+ years of professional software development; strong backend skills building HTTP APIs REST/GraphQL; solid OO design, SOLID principles; experience with C# and .NET Core is a plus; database fundamentals; experience with modern toolchains (Git, CI/CD, JSON, YAML); ability to design reliable, scalable systems; testing
