Portwest, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE, is seeking a Product Manager for the UK on a permanent basis, reporting to the Head of Product. Based in Manchester, England, Portwest designs, manufactures and distributes market-leading workwear in fully owned production facilities. The Product Manager will own a defined product range, manage it through the lifecycle from concept to delivery, and drive growth through product development and improvements. Responsibilities include defining KPIs, leading sample reviews, coordinating with factories and supply chain, aligning product strategy with brand direction and customer needs, conducting market, trend and competitor research, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and traveling as required to factories and trade shows. Requirements include 5+ years in product management, apparel or garment development; degree in design, garment technology, textiles or related discipline; proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and technical specification management; strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities; willingness to travel.
