Division Overview: The Justice Information Technology Services (JITS) team provides essential IT infrastructure to support state and local law enforcement in Montana. The team maintains systems, services, and interfaces to support about 900 Department of Justice employees and more than 3,000 Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIN) users, working together to safeguard Montana. Role: As an Information Security Analyst 2, you will be a core member of the DOJ Information Security Program and serve as the primary defender of the department's security operations. You will collect and evaluate technical security data and translate analyses into actionable guidance for DOJ leadership to identify and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities: Protect the DOJ by detecting and neutralizing vulnerabilities and enforcing designated security standards. Technical Security & Analysis: perform vulnerability assessments on computer systems and network infrastructure; propose security upgrades for current or future information technology systems; investigate digital devices for potential criminal activity and compile forensic findings as needed. Systems Administration & Response: manage and adjust security tools and software configurations; execute incident response to mitigate breaches; oversee designated security platforms as part of administrative duties.
