Senior Software Engineer (GPU & AI/ML)
Overview: AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer with experience in machine learning or AI accelerators to join the AMD GPU Technology and Engineering Software Team. In this role you will develop our latest AI software technologies, optimize parts of the AI software stack, and deliver AI solutions across AMD Radeon and Ryzen product families.
Responsibilities
Qualifications: Academic credentials:
- Develop and deliver innovative AI software solutions for AMD customers and users.
- Enable and optimize software stacks for standard frameworks such as ONNX and PyTorch, and explore new popular Open-Source AI software.
- Bring up state-of-the-art AI models and analyze and improve their performance.
- Drive end-to-end AI software development from feature scoping, implementation, and verification to customer enablement.
- Strong cross-platform software development experience with C/C++ and Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with CONV, GEMM, and non-linear operators; GPU acceleration is a plus.
- Experience with common AI frameworks and inference stacks.
- Solid knowledge of AI and ML concepts and techniques; understanding performance implications for AI acceleration across compute, memory, and communication.
- Open-source software development experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engine
