Valeo Foods UK is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the site’s engineering team in Norwich. This on-site role drives operational excellence, safety and compliance, and the development and execution of a robust maintenance programme to maximise equipment reliability and site performance. You will oversee all engineering activities, including risk assessments, contractor safety, and ensuring that maintenance and projects meet food safety and quality standards. A key focus will be the development and execution of a preventative maintenance programme, minimising downtime and aligning maintenance with business objectives. You will manage the engineering budget, oversee CapEx and OpEx, and drive cost-effective procurement of spare parts, labour and equipment. You will lead, coach and develop the engineering team through regular one-to-ones, training plans, and performance reviews, with succession planning as a core objective. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior engineering role, ideally within food manufacturing, with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience leading site services (effluent, allergen and hazards).
