This role centers on automating the detection, mitigation, and repair of hardware in data centers to increase uptime, reduce parts costs, and efficiently manage the lifecycle of data center hardware. You will work with machines across ML, Compute, Storage, and their lifecycle in data centers to support Google Cloud and external customers. Responsibilities include managing the machine lifecycle from entry to end-of-life, owning and operating workflows to turn machines up, mitigate, repair, upgrade, and decommission as needed, and ensuring reliable, safe operation of large distributed systems that provide capacity for Google products and cloud customers. You will own and support workflows that provide a repair platform for machines, networking, and power/cooling devices on the data center floor. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
