VDH is seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our development team in Richmond, Virginia (on-site) to build modern, cloud-native applications across leading cloud platforms, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Azure. Working within OIM (Office of Information Management) and under guidance from SEAT (Solutions Engineering and Architecture Team), the ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, cloud services, and a passion for designing scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. The engineer will also explore emerging data technologies, stay updated with industry advancements, and document processes for knowledge sharing. The engineer will support the Data Management team in all its data transmission tasks. Requirements include 4+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud; experience with Azure App Service, AKS, Functions, Storage, Databases; Docker and Kubernetes; languages including C#, Java, Python, Go, and Node.js; Azure DevOps and GitLab; IAM, data protection, and cloud security best practices; SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL databases; Agile methodologies and DevOps practices; strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
