About the role
Rexel USA, one of the largest distributors of electrical products and related supplies in the United States, is seeking a Counter Sales Representative for our Chesapeake, VA location. The Counter Sales Representative serves as a resource for customers, delivering prompt and courteous service, assisting with purchases and returns, and processing orders efficiently. This role works closely with the branch team to support receiving, shipping, stocking, and showroom upkeep, and may assist with warehouse functions as needed.

- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with purchases, returns, and order processing.
- Help drive electrical distribution sales for the counter, and develop new and existing customer relationships.
- Maintain showroom and counter presentation; assist with daily restocking and cleanliness.
- Support warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries.
- Stay informed on product knowledge; assist inside sales as needed.
- Communicate safety concerns to the manager as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience (preferred).
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Electrical product knowledge in lighting, switchgear, controls, and related commodities (preferred).
- Familiarity with automated order entry systems and Windows-based software (preferred).
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
