Quality Engineer in Cluj-Napoca, Romania will serve as the main quality point of contact for European Flow Metering projects, ensuring that quality requirements are consistently applied throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external inspectors to support successful project delivery while maintaining compliance with contractual, regulatory, and customer-specific standards. This role combines technical expertise with project coordination and plays a critical role in preventing, identifying, and resolving quality-related issues. Responsibilities include acting as the primary project quality contact from kick-off through delivery and close-out; planning, coordinating, and overseeing inspections and testing activities; supporting incoming and outgoing inspections, material traceability, welding reviews, testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing; coordinating with suppliers, fabricators, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards; identifying risks and escalating concerns; reviewing and approving manufacturing and quality documentation; coordinating certification processes with external stakeholders such as third-party inspectors and notified bodies; supporting customer audits and quality reviews; contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, nonconformance management, and quality system enhancements; and participating in internal and external audits and in quality reporting and performance tracking.
