Veilant is seeking a motivated System Administrator with strong Linux experience to provide direct onsite support for customer environments in Tysons, Virginia. This role is ideal for an early-career systems professional who enjoys hands-on problem solving, works directly with users, and supports mission-critical systems in a customer-facing environment. You will serve as an onsite technical resource supporting workstations, system administration tasks, troubleshooting, and daily operations. The environment includes Linux and Windows systems, printers, VoIP phones, and internal platforms, with a Linux-forward emphasis. Responsibilities include: provide daily onsite support for customer users, systems, and infrastructure; perform system administration in a Linux-forward environment; support Windows desktops; troubleshoot across workstations, printers, VoIP, and related tech; administer our multi-mission platform; act as onsite liaison between customer, NOC, and engineering; escalate issues as needed; ensure systems remain operational during business hours; collaborate with onsite staff during onboarding. What success looks like in the first six months: independently troubleshoot and resolve Linux, Windows, workstation, printer, VoIP, and platform issues; support a multi-mission platform; build relationships with customer users and internal teams; know when to escalate; maintain reliable onsite presence 8am-5pm; reduce dependency on onsite staff by taking ownership.
