SAIC is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to support the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Cloud Engineer will be part of a close team that maintains, enhances, and upgrades a myriad of applications and services in an enterprise environment and will participate in the implementation and maintenance of on-prem cloud and IT infrastructure to support the customer. Responsibilities include providing mid- to top-tier Kubernetes cloud engineering in on-premises heterogeneous environments, developing and maintaining automation for deployments and configuration management, administering and managing multiple on-prem cloud environments, monitoring and remediating cloud infrastructure health, performance, and availability, providing cloud operations support during exercises, updating cloud environments and applying DoD STIGs, managing cloud infrastructure/services (Linux VMs, RKE2, Rancher, storage), remediating vulnerabilities, maintaining SOPs and troubleshooting guides, assisting teammates with infrastructure and server administration, managing software installations and asset inventories, drafting or enhancing documentation for problem resolution processes, preparing technical justifications for hardware/software procurement, and executing other systems administration tasks as assigned.
