We are seeking a hands-on AppFolio Bookkeeper for a fully remote independent contractor role to support bookkeeping and data entry for a Hawaii-based property management company. This contract role is expected to last approximately six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs, and offers a flexible schedule that can be performed remotely from anywhere. Responsibilities include entering 2026 income and expense transactions into AppFolio, maintaining owner accounting records, processing invoices and expenses, reconciling bank accounts, performing bank reconciliations, assisting with monthly bookkeeping and close activities, and supporting the migration to the AppFolio Owner Portal. The ideal candidate has hands-on AppFolio experience, can manage accounting data entry independently, and communicates professionally in English. Basic bookkeeping knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision are essential. AppFolio experience is required; candidates with only QuickBooks experience will not be considered. The workload is heavier during the first 10 days of each month.
