Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer for Commercial Engineering & AI (CEAI). In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to accelerate the transformation of Microsoft’s commercial business into an AI-native, scalable operating model. You will build intelligent, scalable cloud-native services and platforms that power partner and customer success, while delivering value at speed and with impact.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate cloud-native services and applications at scale.
Implement features and platform capabilities that leverage AI, automation, and agentic workflows using frameworks like Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or equivalents.
Drive end-to-end delivery of projects spanning multiple services and components.
Build high-quality, maintainable software with emphasis on reliability, security, privacy, and operational excellence.
Analyze production telemetry and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Participate in live-site support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service health improvements.
Contribute to AI-native engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, and operational workflows.
Basic: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms; experience building AI-powered applications, copilots, agents, or intelligent automation
