Fieldwire is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with a focus on tooling and automation to ensure rapid deployment of new features and services. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design and evolve a highly efficient, secure, and reliable platform that powers Fieldwire’s applications for construction teams on job sites. You will own the design, maintenance, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure and production systems, influence platform architecture decisions, and mentor other engineers in infrastructure best practices and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include designing, building, and automating the software development lifecycle and infrastructure; ensuring reliability and performance of production systems; leading incident response and root-cause analysis; developing monitoring and observability; troubleshooting complex issues related to performance, scalability, and security; setting technical direction for platform infrastructure in collaboration with leadership; fostering collaboration across teams to scale the platform; driving continuous improvements to tooling, processes, and security; and participating in on-call rotations with change and incident management ownership.
