Speechify is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs for our text-to-speech platform, including a public TTS API and internal services such as Payments, Subscriptions, Authentication, and Consumption Tracking to meet business and scalability needs. You will oversee the full backend API landscape, optimize performance and maintainability, and collaborate on enterprise-focused B2B solutions. This is a 100% distributed, remote role with no company office, and the team operates globally; the listing notes Valencia, Spain as the location. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience. Ideal candidates will have proven backend development experience using TypeScript/Node.js, direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and knowledge of AWS/Azure, and the ability to deploy high-availability applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
