Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences team in Basel, Switzerland (Remote OK). This role builds and maintains the foundational services and cross-platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope to get faster feedback from customers, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDKs. You will optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading times and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. You will ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. The ideal candidate will have systems thinking, speed, focus, and collaboration skills to work with opinionated designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK). Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
