This role builds and maintains the foundational services and cross-platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of product and infrastructure, designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience. Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Teams to scope projects, delivering solutions via cross-platform SDKs, optimizing functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing, and shipping cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK). Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus. Location: Utrecht, Netherlands. Work arrangement: Remote OK. The Netherlands-based salary range for this role is USD 30,000–120,000 per year plus bonus and stock, depending on experience.
