Technical Writer is needed by OCT Consulting LLC to support Federal government clients, including DoD components and DoD representatives. The role involves drafting and revising scientific and technical documentation in plain language for a wide range of stakeholders, and producing materials such as training content, white papers, user manuals, reports, process diagrams, workflows, presentations, strategic plans, guidance, communications plans, studies, and meeting minutes. Responsibilities include reviewing and editing documents for spelling, grammar, context, flow, and clarity; managing multiple projects with varying deadlines; assisting in developing and editing presentations, manuals, data diagrams, and complex reports; collaborating with program office staff to research and publish reports; ensuring timely distribution of revised content; adhering to established quality processes; writing technical publications content; understanding how complex systems operate and must be integrated into manuals to support end users; consulting with internal/external customers and engineering to create or revise manuals; providing input to management on process or technology improvements; helping develop solutions for issues raised by outside suppliers. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field; minimum of 8 years of technical writing/communications experience; substantial experience writing for federal government acquisitions and program management; ability to write and edit complex technical material; excellent organizational
