About the role
Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Google Chat to drive Agentic Quality. You will lead end-to-end infrastructure initiatives across client and backend services, refining requirements, managing dependencies, schedules, and risks, and communicating progress to cross-functional partners. You will translate complex technical concepts for executives and collaborate with engineers to align architectural choices across Android, iOS, and Web platforms. In this role, you will own a large portfolio of infrastructure supporting Google Chat, working to improve evaluation infrastructure, scale user feedback processing, and enhance reliability, performance, and developer velocity.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Own and guide high-impact infrastructure projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, dependencies, schedules, and risk management.
- Identify trends among issues and drive root-cause analysis with engineering, product, and UX teams.
- Manage scope, priorities, and timelines while delivering results and translating technical concepts into actionable steps.
- Demonstrate the impact of infrastructure work to executives and secure alignment and visibility.
- Build relationships across core teams and partner teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience; 8+ years of program management experience.
- Experience with software development workflows, defining quality metrics for automated systems, and end-to-end delivery and technical strategy for mobile and web applications.
