Senior Fund Accountant position with Kranz Consulting, providing fractional consulting services to venture capital fund administrators. The role is a full-time or part-time position as an employee of Kranz Consulting, working with venture capital and private equity clients. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; creating financial statements for funds and related entities (general partner, management companies, SPVs); preparing management fee calculations; assisting with accounts payable and intercompany transactions; cash management and reconciliations; preparing investor capital calls and distributions; coordinating annual client audits with external auditors; assisting with tax-related files including Form 1099 preparation and Schedule K-1 review; supporting state and local tax filings and registrations; and performing special projects as requested. The role also involves managing technology requests and collaborating with internal teams on automation projects. Desired qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3–5 years of fund administration or private fund experience (CPA preferred), ability to work independently in a remote environment, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and other Office applications.
