We are seeking a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager for our Frederick, MD office. The successful candidate will oversee construction materials testing services for commercial and residential land development projects, directing and coordinating technician staff for earthwork, concrete, foundations, masonry, steel, EIFS, and pavement testing. Responsibilities include preparing bids and proposals, attending pre-bid meetings, performing on-site inspections (including soil bearing and compaction tests, concrete, and steel inspections), and meeting with clients as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or geology is preferred. 3–5 years of field or project management experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or construction project management is preferred. Engineer in Training or Registered Professional Engineer is preferred but not required. Experience managing a project backlog of $1–3 million and estimating labor requirements for various construction projects is desired. Some business development experience and the ability to interact with clients are a plus. Experience managing construction or field staff is a plus.
